Remember, you must purchase magic scrolls at Magic Shops, in addition to the Job Level required, before you're able to use them. In addition, Specialties don't use slots. When you assign a character with a primary job, take note that you're automatically given the Specialty, which is always a skill on the job's ability list (with the exception of the Freelancer). Two jobs can be combined with the benefit of using unique abilities one with a primary command, and then the second with support abilities (or job command). For easy navigation for this guide, all Jobs are in alphabetical order. We also note some of the best combinations-in other words, which ones work well together. Here, we break down all 24, with packed-charts showing costs, descriptions, level requirements and names of all abilities for each Job. All weapons deal physical damage unless otherwise noted (they will say LIGHTNING, POISON etc if they do something else.Bravely Default has a total of 24 Jobs available, and they all vary in abilities, weapons and specialties. This is a pretty simple system at the moment but is one of the things that will be expanded.Ĥ. You would then get a +3% dmg/def boost against, say, Bog Frogs.
(You only need one monster of that family to get the bonus)įor example, if you have three Fungal Toads, you will deal a total of +18% dmg to Fungal Toads and take 18% less from them. You then get a +3% damage/defense boost against that family. Each captured monster gives you +5% damage against that specific monster, and -5% damage FROM that monster. I agree the first boss fight is sudden, we're working on better preparation for that.ģ. This does not count the numerous side areas. The main dungeon right now is 20 floors long, but that will change in the coming months. So, lots of ways to customize your character!Ģ.
BRAVELY DEFAULT 2 JOB TIER LIST UPGRADE
We are planning a system where you can upgrade each of your job abilities to enhance them further, and there will also be more weapon mastery tiers, as well as 3 more jobs before the v1.0 release. You do lose them if you switch to another job, but you can take the rest of your skills with you. When you spend JP in a job, you do unlock passive 'traits' (at 1000 JP spent, and again when you've learned every skill). The job system is more like Final Fantasy 5 or Bravely Default, where you can switch to a job anytime. Keep in mind the game launched on Early Access just a little over a week ago and I think I've released. Sorry that some things are not clear! We're working on it. I've seen one enemy where the combat log says one of my weapons isnt effective so I switched but there is no other feedback for any of the other enemies.īasically, I really wish there was a wiki for this stuff. I also don't know how much it helps if my weapon does a different type of damage as opposed to physical. Does it only matter what family of monster it is or does capturing stronger ones increase the bonus? It seems like it should, otherwise I just put my 3 in there and ignore it for the rest of the game. Again, have no idea whether I should bother getting multiple of the same type or even care about this at all because I can't see how it affects me. I thought with it being like the FF Job system you will be able to choose a more specialized job as your 'advanced' class.Īlso some sort of indication of how long the dungeon is? The 6F boss fight came straight out of nowhere, since then I always make sure I'm healed up before going up stairs because I have no idea if its just another random level, a side area, or a boss fight, and I have no idea where I am progression wise.Īlso for the captured monsters - some sort of numbers to indicate how much they actually help. There just isn't very much information as to how this works (or if its even in the game since this is early access). I was hoping by 10 I'd 'unlock' the advanced whatever, or however that works.
BRAVELY DEFAULT 2 JOB TIER LIST PLUS
I'm level 11 or 12 and have had all the skills available to me since around 6, plus the bow mastery I and 2. I'd like some clarification on how advanced classes work and when you get them.
